Last night i got to my feet and walked over to local games shop in my area. I needed to fix my bricked PSP. I heard that there is way to fix bricked PSP and downgrade any version official PSP firmware to version 1.5. I ask the technical guy weather he can help me or not and he said yes “I can fix the brick problem and downgrade the firmware to 1.5 and can also install 3.40 OE-A (hacked) firmware“. And after a while he gave me back my un-bricked PSP with 3.40 OE-A custom firmware installed. Only for charge of 30 AED (8 USD). Thats cheap!
After searching for 2 seconds I found the solution he must of used and its called ‘Pandora’s Battery‘. Apparently you need spare battery, memory card and homebrew-enabled PSP to do the magic.
- You run a program on a homebrew-enabled PSP that will convert a standard PSP battery into a JigKick battery. Note that you can’t then use that battery normally - so you should use a spare one.
- You run a program to generate the unbricker memory stick image, built from the v1.5 update EBOOT (note that this, and the custom IPL, means the release is completely free of Sony copyright materials).
- You run some programs on a PC to install the image to your memory stick.
So if you guys are thinking to buy new PSP because somehow your old one is bricked. Contact me by comments I can lead you to this guy. By the way shop is located in Abu Dhabi. I reckon go to local game shop and ask them for help in other emirates may be they can fix the problem.
